Certificates & Memberships

Logo of the Clevercare Initiative

Clevercare

The Clevercare initiative was launched by GINETEX, the International Association for Textile Care Labelling, as a means to address the lack of education on sustainable garment care practices.   Laundry alone accounts for approx. 30% of the carbon footprint of clothing - by educating consumers on how to consciously care for clothes, consumers can positively influence the environmental impact of garment care.

FLÕWY is among a group of few selected Clevercare ambassadors along with brands such as  COS and Stella McCartney. Together, we are working on shifting the fashion industry towards more sustainable practices.

Logo of OEKO-TEX Standard 100

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification was launched by the OEKO-TEX® Association, and it is considered the most well-known and trusted certification today for product safety in the textile industry.  The certification guarantees that certified products have been tested for more than 100 toxic substances and have been found free of these, thus they are harmless for human health and the environment.

All our ECONYL® fabrics are OEKO-Tex certified, ensuring that our activewear pieces are harmless to both you and the planet.

Logo of the Global Recycled Standard

Global Recycled Standard

The  Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is promoted by Textile Exchange, one of the most important non-profit organizations that internationally promote responsible and sustainable development in the textile industry. The GRS is an international and voluntary product standard that tracks and verifies the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling. The certification does not only ensure that products are indeed made from recycled materials but at the same time, verifies the responsible social, environmental and chemical practices were in place during the production of these products.

All our ECONYL® fabrics are GRS-certified, ensuring that our materials were produced in a socially, environmentally and chemically responsible manner, using only the highest-quality recycled materials that are safe to both you and the planet.

Logo of the FSC

FSC

The FSC certification was launched by the Forest Stewardship Council® and ensures that certified products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. In order to obtain the FSC certification, forests and forestry products need to meet the highest standards across several criteria, such as: compliance with laws, workers’s rights, indigenous peoples’ rights, environmental and conservation values, as well as community relations, among others.

At FLÕWY, we only use FSC-certified and recycled materials for our packaging.
