    • Provides antioxidant benefits: Coffee contains caffeic acid, an antioxidant which can help promote collagen production and also prevent the premature aging of skin cells.

    • Reduces inflammation: Coffee also contains chlorogenic acid and melanoidins, which are linked to reducing hyperpigmentation and inflammation in the skin.

    2. Extra-virgin coconut oil:

    • Hydrates the skin: Coconut oil is made up of medium chain fatty acids, which support the skin in retaining moisture and reducing skin dryness.

    • Soothes the skin: With anti-inflammatory properties, coconut oil provides a calming and soothing effect, making it a great choice for people with irritated and sensitive skin, as well as those with skin disorders such as psoriasis, contact dermatitis and eczema.

    • Protects against free radicals: Coconut oil also contains antioxidant and phytonutrient components, which help protect the skin against environmental stressors and free radicals that accelerate skin aging.

III) How to use the scrub

    1. Melt the coconut oil in the microwave.

    2. Add the coffee grounds to the coconut oil and mix thoroughly with a spoon.

    3. If needed, add some warm water to the mixture to get the desired consistency for the scrub (optional).
